IFM Scope: Birmingham Pointe, a luxury condominium development featuring 152 residences, stands as one of the largest residential footprints in the city. IFM played a major role in bringing the project to life, delivering one of the most significant metal packages in the company’s portfolio. Our team fabricated and installed 127 balconies and 19 staircases, along with the project’s entire exterior decorative metal scope and complete signage package. From structural elements to architectural detailing, each component was carefully engineered, fabricated, and installed to meet the high standards expected of a premier residential development. The result is a cohesive architectural metal presence that enhances both the functionality and visual identity of Birmingham Pointe.

IFM Scope: IFM excels at turning bold design visions into standout feature pieces. At Jeanne M. Stine Community Park in Troy, IFM played a major role in bringing a striking modern concept to reality through precision metal fabrication. Designed for year-round use, the skating rink immediately draws attention with its distinctive form and expertly crafted guardrails. Overlooking the rink, a prominent feature wall naturally oxidizes to develop a rich, bold character by day, while perforated panels create a dramatic illuminated glow by night. IFM was also responsible for the precise layout of the metal footings designed to receive the pavilion’s beautiful wood supports, helping tie together a structure that is both functional and visually unforgettable.

IFM Scope: IFM provided delegated design, fabrication, and installation of a complete weathering steel (Corten) façade encompassing 120 unique panels with perforations producing an overall sweeping design by the architect. The project included three custom pocket doors weighing up to 2,500 lbs each, along with IFM design and execution of mechanical operator systems allowing the doors to be operated safely with hand cranks inside the facility. When the doors are closed, the entire building appears seamless with no obvious doors or openings.

IFM Scope: Design/build consisting of over 1000 lineal feet of custom-fabricated aluminum stadium railings with a low-gloss black powder coat finish, all of which were on a slope. The job consisted of a combination of fascia-mount and top-mount railings, and unique conditions and every direction change.

IFM Scope: IFM was tasked with fabricating and installing guardrails for three staircases in what would become the cutting-edge home of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons. The steel frames were fabricated in-house, then transported to the site and assembled on location. After the finish paint was applied, stainless steel web mesh infill panels and grab rails were meticulously installed to complete the system.

IFM Scope: Extensive package of custom-fabricated aluminum guard rails with integral drink ledges, plus access gates and riser stair rails for the new Wayne State University basketball stadium. We also provide the street sign style posts for the aisle markers.

Our scope also included custom louvered access doors and vent louvers for the HVAC unit above the fireplace, and a powder-coated aluminum lighting truss above the main entrance.
